Cristiano Ronaldo, who was unveiled as a Saudi Arabia Al Nassr player on Tuesday, January 3 has spoken for the first time.
He said he has ‘won everything in Europe’, hence his decision to move to Asia.
“In Europe, my work is one. I won everything, I played in the most important clubs and for me now it’s a new challenge,” he said as seen on Sky Sports.
“I’m glad Al Nassr gave me this opportunity to show and develop not only football but the young generations. For me it’s a challenge but I feel very happy and proud,” he added.
Ronaldo’s time in Europe came to an end in December after his controversial interview with Piers Morgan.
His contract with Manchester United ended and automatically gave him a chance with Al Nassr and made him the highest-paid player in the world.
In the same briefing, Ronaldo revealed he had offers from across the world including remaining in Europe, the United States, and Portugal, but ultimately decided to go for Al Nassr.
The 37-year-old signed a 2-year deal with the Saudi Arabian Club, giving him ambassadorial role afterwards in his first presser since the move.
