The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has praised his supporters for chanting his name during Governor Nyesom Wike’s speech in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Atiku acknowledged the support of his loyalists in a tweet on Friday, saying “l heard you loud and clear.”
The Quest Times recalls that some of Atiku’s supporters on Thursday in Ibadan chanted his name while Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike addressed the crowd.
Wike and the other G5 governors gathered in front of Mapo Hall in Ibadan to campaign for Governor Seyi Makinde’s reelection.
Atiku supporters chanted “Atiku, Atiku, Atiku…” as the Rivers governor urged voters to vote for Makinde and other PDP candidates in the state.
Responding, the former Vice President said, “Oyo State, I heard you loud and clear yesterday. I take it warmly as a vote of confidence in me and our great party, @OfficialPDPNig. You proved that my love for the Pace-Setter State over the years is not in vain.
“My promise to you is this: we shall work closely together in the mission to Recover Nigeria.”
