BON Hotel Nest Ibadan is mourning the untimely demise of its Operations Manager, Tunde Solomon, who tragically passed died due to a heart attack following the recent explosion near the hotel premises.
Quest Times recalls that an explosion shook Dejo Oyelese street, resulting in numerous casualties, with over 77 people injured and several buildings in the vicinity collapsing, last Tuesday night.
In a somber announcement on the hotel’s Instagram page (bonhotelibadan), the management expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Mr. Tunde Solomon.
Describing him as a dedicated and selfless worker, the hotel acknowledged his 25 years of contribution to the industry and his pivotal role in the growth of BON Hotel Nest Ibadan.
“We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved Operations Manager, Mr.Tunde Solomon.”
“Mr. Solomon suffered a heart attack on the 17th of January 2024 and it is believed that it was a consequence of the explosion which occurred on the 16th of January 2024 at Bodija,” the statement read.
Highlighting Mr. Solomon’s extensive experience and commitment, the hotel expressed the profound impact of his loss on both BON Hotel Nest Ibadan and the broader BON group.
The announcement concluded with heartfelt condolences to Mr. Solomon’s family, including thoughts and prayers for them during this challenging period.
