Nigerian afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dismissed rumors of quitting music despite recent online controversy.
The renowned artist, famous for hits like ‘Unavailable,’ clarified his stance amidst speculation sparked by a statement made on social media.
Addressing his fans on Thursday night, Davido addressed the circulating doctored images and videos aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
In response, he expressed frustration, suggesting a possible departure from the music scene after his next album.
He wrote, “Yall niggas really want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again. So una fit get peace.”
However, Davido’s announcement triggered a wave of support from fans and followers on various social media platforms. Many rallied behind him, urging him to continue making music.
Reacting to the development, an X user @the_Lawrenz wrote, “Oga you no do again because of why?? You go no where sir!”
Another user, @Abazzwhyllzz tweeted, “You are not going anywhere oo. If you stop singing then no Nigerian will sing in this country again.”
