The Ondo State Government has disclosed the funeral plans for the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, scheduled from February 15 to 25.
Commencing with a crusade in Akure on February 15, the events were revealed after a state cabinet meeting led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The released program also include various ceremonies like Jumat Service, Valedictory Service, Service of Songs, Commendation Service, and Funeral Service in different locations.
The South-West Governors Forum, represented by Governor Dapo Abiodun, expressed collaboration with Aiyedatiwa and Akeredolu’s family for a dignified burial, with plans for a joint committee to oversee the proceedings.
Recall that the late governor’s body arrived in Nigeria from Germany on January 5, around 3 p.m. His wife, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, and family received the remains, marking the return from Germany, where he had passed away.
Governors from Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, and Ekiti were part of the condolence visit to the family in Ibadan.
