A Kaduna-based journalist, Comrade John Adi, has accepted an open plea by Sonia Ekweremadu, daughter of embattled Senator, Ike Ekweremadu, for a kidney donor.
Recall that Sen Ekweremadu has been in jail pending the outcome of his court case in the UK, where he was arrested and charged to court on organ trafficking charges, in the process of procuring an organ donor for Sonia.
The Quest Times reports that Sonia Ekweremadu made a public plea for a donor on September 13, 2022.
She said, “I am appealing to anybody whom it may please to assist me willingly with a kidney donation in the name of God.

“This appeal would have been utterly unnecessary as every member of my family is eager to donate their kidney to me, knowing that I would do the same for any of them.”
In response to her plea, John Adi in a Facebook post accepted to donate a kidney, citing the Biblical God’s instruction to love your neighbour.
“I, Comrade John Femi Adi, a Kaduna-based journalist and farmer hereby announce my ‘agape’ decision to donate one of my kidneys to Senator Ekweremadu’s beautiful daughter.
“I am doing this on God’s order in the Holy Bible to Love our neighbours as ourselves.
