The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), announced that it has secured over 200 convictions in the past 12 months, beginning from January to December 2023.
While speaking on Saturday at the walk against corruption to mark the United Nations Anti- Corruption Day, the head of the command, Aisha Abubakar, explained that the EFCC’s investigation activities have led to the recovery of assets worth millions of naira during the period under review.
Also, she lamented over the prevalent cases of internet-related fraud, noting that individuals around the age of 14 have begun joining the illegal activity.
Meanwhile, Aisha promised that the commission will continue to relentlessly wage war against corrupt practices and economic crimes in the nation
She added that the commission will continue to pursue its prevention mandate with relentless vigour through engagement with different stakeholders in the fight against corruption.
