Following the dissolution of the state executive committee, the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee formed a Caretaker Committee for the Katsina State Chapter of the party.
This was stated by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in an Abuja statement on Thursday.
According to the party’s spokesperson, the committee was expected to run the party’s affairs in the state for a period of no more than 90 days.
Ologunagba stated that the NWC approved the composition of the caretaker committee on behalf of the National Executive Committee in accordance with Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)E of the PDP Constitution. (as amended in 2017).
The committee members are Dr Abdulrahman Usman, Chairman, and Halima Zubairu Abdulhamid, Secretary, according to the party spokesman.
Others include Nura Giwa, Haruna Jami, Lawal Safana, Sanusi Fari, Nura Kurfi, Sani Daba, Magajiya Lawal Matazu, Ado Turai, Hamza Jibia, Abdulhamid Danbatta and Aisha Ibrahim.
