Chief Edward David Onoja, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has failed to get the number of votes needed to win at his own polling unit at the local government, Olamaboro, hence, losing to the opposition party, Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Quest Times gathered that the All Progressive Congress (APC), the total votes collated for Onoja amounted to 5,572 votes in Olamaboro, while the SDP scored a total of 22,173 votes.
All the results were verified and signed by the collation officer of the Local Government, Ogbufa Chukwudi.
Hence, resulting to Onoja’s loss at his own polling unit, while declaring SDP party as the winner of the polling unit.
Also, It was learnt that senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party polled a total of 1376 votes.
Additionally, It was reportedly said that Olamaboro Local Government’s total votes cast were 30,226, while 29731 were rejected and 495 were invalid votes.
