The Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi (SAN), is dead.
He died on Sunday, November 20, following a protracted illness.
“We urge everyone to remember his immediate and extended family, and the university in prayers in this very trying time,” KWASU Registrar, Mrs Kikelomo Salle, announced in a statement, while stating that burial arrangements will be announced soon.
Late Akanbi became a professor at the age of 40 and was appointed as vice chancellor at 49 years of age.Â
He is a former Director of Unilorin School of Preliminary Studies and also the son of former President of the Court of Appeal and pioneer Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), Justice Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi.
