Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has stated that any young man who has a laptop in Nigeria today stands a risk of going to jail.
Obi disclosed this on AriseTV’s The Morning Show programme.
According to him, while youths in other countries are being given laptops, youths found with laptops at any security checkpoint in Nigeria are being treated as criminals by the Nigerian security authorities.

“If you have a laptop in this country now and you are a young man, you could go to jail.
“They can just call you any name because you have a laptop.
“I have seen security roadblocks where young men were brought down for having laptops with them.
“So, laptops that other countries are giving youths for free, is an offence in Nigeria,” Peter Obi lamented.
