The video of Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal, which went viral after it was leaked online on Saturday, has now prompted a response from her.
She has expressed her intent to take legal action.
There has been speculation among internet users that the video, depicting the actress involved in a sexual encounter with her ex-fiance, was intentionally released by Moyo Lawal, known for her role in ‘A Time To Heal’.
However, Lawal addressed the situation on her Instagram page on Sunday. She confirmed her identity in the video but strongly refuted the rumors suggesting that she authorized the distribution of the video.

The statement read: “A private video of mine from a while ago has been inappropriately shared without my consent, violating my privacy and trust.”
“I want to emphasise that this video was done with my ex whom I was to marry at that time, was never intended for public consumption and its unauthorised distribution is a breach of my boundaries. However this criminal breach of privacy will be treated with legal action,” she concluded.
