Some ministerial nominees, including former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, have arrived at the National Assembly complex for screening by the red chamber.
Out of the 28 nominees, 20 have completed their documentation for the screening, which is taking place on Monday. The remaining eight nominees are currently out of the country.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, presented the first batch of the ministerial list to the Senate after a long wait by Nigerians. However, 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory are yet to have ministerial nominees.
President Bola Tinubu’s nominations were accompanied by other politicians, including former governors and members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
The President also mentioned that a supplementary ministerial list would be sent to the red chamber in due course, as mandated by the constitution.
