At least 143,000 households in Katsina State are benefiting from the Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme.
The figure was revealed by Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman-Nasir, Special Adviser to Gov. Aminu Masari on Special Intervention on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Katsina.
He spoke on the sideline of the August 19, 2022, celebration of the UN World Humanitarian Day.
Mamman-Nasir said the Katsina State Department of Empowerment and Special Intervention marked the day with a series of activities for the less privileged to give them a sense of belonging.

“On the CCT programme, more than 143,000 households are benefitting in 12 selected local government areas in the state.
“They are Mani, Ingawa, Bindawa, Baure, Kaita, Danmusa, Batagarawa, Rimi, Musawa, Kankara, Bakori and Dandume.
“More than 2,000 primary schools in the 34 local government areas are benefitting from home-grown School Feeding Programme, while 40,000 youths are benefiting from the N-Power programme.
“Similarly, more than 57,000 Small and Medium Enterprises have benefited from the Government Enterprises Empowerment Programme under `Trader Moni’, `Market Moni’ and `Farmer Moni’ initiatives.
“This is in addition to the provision of N20,000 cash assistance to women selected in rural areas across the state,” Mamman-Nasir said.
