The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched a new online app, called “GreenBook,” to help people easily verify registered medicines.
This app, accessible on the web, aims to provide information about drugs approved by NAFDAC.

The app allows users to confirm whether a product is registered by NAFDAC, ensuring it meets regulatory standards.

“If a product is registered by NAFDAC, you understand that that product has gone through the rigour of regulatory work, process on ensuring that the manufacturer of the product conforms to good manufacturing practices.
“Once you have accessed this app on your phone, web, or your laptops or computer systems, you will be able to check and confirm. And with this, you can even see whether a product is actually a fake product or an original product registered by NAFDAC.”
Khaled Musa, Deputy of Food and Drug Information Centre at NAFDAC, highlighted the innovation’s accessibility, stating, “It puts the power of information in the hands of the people. You can access the app from the comfort of your home.”
