The names of the nominees earlier submitted to Bola Tinubu to pick his vice presidential candidate from, have been revealed, according to media reports.
Quest Times reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, had on Sunday, July 10, announced a former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.
According to Daily Trust, the Planning and Strategy Committee of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation (TCO) recommended 11 names for Tinubu to choose from as his running mate.

The newspaper said the committee was headed by the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal.
It was further gathered that the final report of the committee was concluded on Tuesday last week and submitted to Tinubu by Lawal, who travelled to London on Wednesday for the purpose.
Quest Times learned that the committee recommended seven persons from the North East and four persons from the North West geopolitical zones.
Below are the names of the nominees recommended as Tinubu’s running mate;
North West region
Governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai
Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu
Former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu
Magatakarda Wamakko
Hajiya Najatu Mohammed.
North East region
Former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima
Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara
Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed
Ambassador Fatima Balla
Senator Anthony Manzo
Kashim Imam
