Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has sent his endearing message to Nigerians ahead of the 62nd Anniversary of Nigeria slated for this weekend.
Osinbajo in a post tagged “Independencedayspeech” on his verified Facebook handle, prayed Nigeria’s future would be better than the past.
Nigeria clocks 62 years of independence on October 1.

“When we say that we are celebrating the birthday of Nigeria, we are in fact celebrating the birthday of the Nigerian people wherever they may be in this great and vast nation.
“So, today, as we approach this nation’s 62nd birthday, and in addition to renewed efforts to make our country work, I pray for Nigeria, and you, Nigerian, that as your days, so shall your strength be.
“You will be more fruitful as you grow in age, you will stronger day by day; you will be made a great nation; your name shall be made great, you will be blessed and you shall be a blessing.
“The future of Nigeria will be far more glorious, more peaceful than her past, and so it shall be for you too,” he said.
