UFC middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya, recently condemned the widespread corruption in Nigeria, the land of his birth.
During an appearance on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin podcast, Adesanya expressed his frustration, stating that Nigeria is a very corrupt place.
He went on to explain that while he loves his people, it seems like everyone, including the government, is looking for ways to extract money from others.
“Nigeria is a very corrupt place,” he quipped.
“I love my people but it is just that the government, everyone is trying to find a way to siphon money from someone,” he added.
Adesanya also acknowledged that greed is a problem throughout Africa, not just in Nigeria.
The Quest Times reports that Adesanya, popularly referred to as Stylebender defeated his long-time rival, Brazilian Alex Perreira to reclaim the UFC middleweight title on Saturday night.
