States in the North and South-West were nowhere to be found as Enugu emerged with the best West African Examination Council (WAEC) result in 2021 with 93.9 per cent of its students recording at least 5 credits including English and Mathematics.
The statistic was released by WAEC and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) with a spotlight on public secondary schools nationwide.
Edo state recorded a 93.5 per cent success rate in second, while Benue hit a respectable 91.7 per cent success in third. Ebonyi and Anambra states narrowly lost out on the Top 3, recording 91.3 percent and 91.2 per cent respectively to wrap up the Top 5.
Cross River recorded a 90.6 per cent success rate, Rivers 88.1 per cent, Delta 87.7 per cent, and Bayelsa 86.4 per cent with Abia finishing in 10th place with an 86.1 success rate.
