Senator Shehu Sani has revealed how several letters written to demand for an overhead bridge in Chikakore area of Kubwa, Abuja, were ignored.
An NTA accountant, Hania Selimat, was crushed to death by a Kaduna-Abuja train last Thursday.
The erstwhile legislator said members of the community had written several letters to the Ministry of Transportation for the construction of an overhead bridge for easy commute, since the train tracks pass through their community.
In a post shared on his social media handle, Sani stated that the Ministry ignored the requests of the community members.
Late Selimat who was a principal accountant in NTA, was crushed to death after her car was run over by the train while she was attempting to cross the rail track.
Posting photos of copies of the letters written to the Ministry, Senator Sani wrote:
”Before the Train crushed and killed Hajia Selimat in Kubwa, the Community wrote several letters to Ministry of Transport requesting for a Bridge. They were IGNORED.”
