More reactions have continued to trail the bloody attack on Sen Ifeanyi Ubah (YPP-Anambra South), where his convoy was attacked by gunmen on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Enugwu Ukwu, Anambra State.
The violent attack claimed the lives of both security and personal aides to Sen Ubah, who escaped death by a hair’s breadth thanks to his bulletproof SUV.
Reacting to the dastardly attack, Nigerians took to social media to condemn the senseless action which led to the loss of innocent lives, contributing to the heightened fear of violence during the run-up to the 2023 elections.
Here are some reactions gathered by The Quest Times
Peter Obi, Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 presidential elections
@CastillJay Hypocrites who did not find their voice when the president’s convoy was attacked in Katsina are blaming Peter Obi for the insecurity in Anambra and the attack on Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy. Too many clowns in our country
Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the Peoples’s Democratic Party (PDP) also reacts

@PabloHoggs The deadly attack on Ifeanyi Ubah has nothing absolutely to do with Peter Obi’s ongoing wide acceptance & acceptability. Where is killing not going on in Nigeria? Killings going on in Nigeria is being sponsored by the same group of untouchable individuals. They know themselves.
Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), and Senate colleague, Sen Rabiu Kwankwaso consoled with Ubah on the attack and loss of lives.
@henryshield I would want to comment on the evil attack on Sen Ifeanyi Ubah by unknown gunmen from a different angle. Alaigbo should be careful not to be used to swing the coming election using insecurity as a reason. We must protect our land from known and unknown criminals. RIP to the dead

@Myka_veli There’s a huge possibility that the attack on Ifeanyi Ubah wasn’t carried out by IPOB but trust people to heap the blame on IPOB. I don’t blame people for doing so, IPOB brought this on themselves when they decided to pick up arms. Now every armed attack is attributed to IPOB
@RealOlaudah If it is IPOB/ESN gunmen that attacked Ifeanyi Ubah, then it will be a case of what goes around coming around. If you ride the tiger, what happens to you? Our politicians need to be wiser and more dedicated to the service of their people.
@PoojaMedia Seeing the attack video on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah yesterday ehn. The video is heartbreaking. God help us.
