Controversial Nigerian rapper, Oladips has left fans amazed after his aide, Abdul Rasheed Opeyemi, clarified that the artiste, previously believed to have passed away, had experienced a three-day ordeal of death before being miraculously revived.
As recalled by Quest Times, the music industry on November 14, mourned the reported demise of Oladips, known for hits like ‘Chache,’ following a two-year battle with a severe illness.
However, speaking during an exclusive interview with the PUNCH, Opeyemi shed light on the misunderstanding, attributing it to the manager’s misinterpretation.
He revealed that everyone, including himself, was under the impression of Oladips’ demise as he had stopped breathing hence, it was not until the third day before the rapper miraculously came back to life.
He said, “We all thought he was dead because he was not breathing until the third day when he was revived.”
During this time, the manager, having misunderstood the situation, had already shared the news of Oladips’ supposed passing; even he (Opeyemi), could not reach the rapper.
“By then, the manager had already shared the story. Even I could not reach him until the third day,” he said.
When questioned about Oladips’ whereabouts during those three days, Opeyemi assured that the rapper was with his family.
Adding another twist to the story, he disclosed that the manager responsible for the premature announcement was promptly dismissed by the music group, while reassuring fans that the rapper would soon address the entire situation personally.
The shocking revelation has left fans and the public eagerly awaiting further details from the rapper himself, as he prepares to share his side of the extraordinary tale.
