Ahead of the 2023 elections, Kogi Governor and presidential hopeful, Yahaya Bello, has said “no less than 21 million Nigerians have registered and indicated their interest to elect him” if he emerges as the flag-bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

He made the comment on Thursday while speaking shortly after picking up his 2023 presidential election interest and nomination forms at the party headquarters in Abuja.

“When I became governor, nobody gave me a chance but God gave me a chance. That same God is still alive to see me take over from President Muhammadu Buhari and build on his successes and achievements for this great nation,” he said.

He added; “Over 21 million Nigerians have registered and indicated willingness and interest to elect me if given the party campaign ticket. I can assure that if I become the flag-bearer, all other political parties put together will not come to half of the total votes I will gather in the 2023 presidential election as President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
