Mr. Charles Idahosa, a well-known member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State and a key member of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), has decided to step away from the political arena.
In a formal document titled “Letter of Resignation,” addressed to the chairman of Ehor Ward I of the PDP in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State, Mr. Idahosa declared his intention to leave the party.
The letter, distributed to several party officials, including the BoT chairman, the South-south National Vice Chairman, the state chairman, and the Uhunmwonde Local Government Area chairman, marked the official end of his affiliation with the PDP.
Expressing his appreciation for the support and solidarity he received from the PDP community throughout his tenure, Mr. Idahosa revealed that his decision stemmed from personal reflection on his political journey.
“Throughout my tenure within the Peoples Democratic Party, I have been privileged to contribute to its vision and mission. However, after careful consideration, I believe it is time for me to pursue new paths and opportunities beyond the party’s confines.
“I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the PDP community for their unwavering support and camaraderie during my time of service.
“I remain committed to upholding the values and principles that have guided my political engagement thus far. I look forward to new avenues of growth and contribution, and I extend my best wishes to the PDP as it continues its important work,” he said in the letter.
