*Says ‘local government workers are dying on a daily basis due to harsh economic condition’
The organised labour in Kogi has asked Governor Yahaya Bello to as a matter of urgency find a solution to the issue of payment of a percentage of salary to workers in the State.
Chairman of Trade Union Congress, TUC, in Kogi State, Comrade Ranti Ojo said; “the issue of percentage payment of salary at the primary school sector and the Local Government Areas has not only crippled education at that level and bastardised the LGA administration, but also dehumanised workers in the sectors”.
He spoke during the 2022 Workers’ Day celebration in Lokoja on Sunday.
