The candidate of the Young Peoples Party (YPP) in the 2022 Osun state governorship election, Dr Ademola Bayonle, has advised Governor-Elect Sen Ademola Adeleke on steps to take to improve the fortunes of the state.
The Quest Times reports that Sen Adeleke emerged victorious at the 2022 Osun governorship election, defeating the incumbent, Gov Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bayonle congratulated Adeleke in a statement, where he further advised him on steps to take to improve the fortunes of Osun State.
The YPP candidate in the statement, advised Adeleke to focus on improving youth employment, agriculture and power generation.
Speaking on Adeleke’s electoral victory, he said, “without any iota of prejudice, I sincerely wish him well, the point of contesting, or Party affiliations is not only to win but to deliver good governance. We should support whoever is chosen to do that.

“The economy of Osun is very fragile, hefty loan burden amidst dwindling revenue. Revenue to debt ratio of about 243. Internally Generated Revenue is about N19.6bn. Please look inwards and BUILD. The state needs an urgent path to economic growth.
“The people who chorus Imole will start Okunkun if power is not improved on. We have all it takes to be the choice destination for Tourism in Africa. Encourage front-end agro-allied industries, they will naturally go back to the farm.
“Youths are in dire need of employment. Speak with people in the informal sector, they hold the key to unlocking employment. Please support SMEs. It’s the lifeline for so many families.

“Please build a youth-friendly state. Our energy needs to go somewhere, and competition in sports, education, innovation etc, libraries and parks will be a break from and complementary to the many hotels, gas stations and bars we presently have.
“Hopefully, the clock will start in November, pls remember, and I can say authoritatively your election was the will of the people. Please deliver.
“My fear with PDP administration is insecurity. Nothing else you do will matter if people cant trade peacefully or sleep quietly.
“Congratulations and best wishes to the Governor-elect Senator Jackson Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke,” he said.
