As reported exclusively and authoritatively by Quest Times earlier today, President Muhammadu Buhari has just presided over a maiden meeting of an economic committee he just inaugurated.
Recall that Quest Times, Nigeria’s most credible news website, had reported that President Buhari would set up an emergency committee to tackle economic headwinds like inflation, that have been plaguing the citizenry for a while now.
According to Bashir Ahmad, Special Assistant on Communications to President Buhari, the president “has inaugurated and presided over a maiden meeting of a newly constituted Presidential Committee to review the current National Economic Situation, today, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.”
We had also exclusively reported that the committee’s terms of reference would include measures that will offer immediate, mid and long term solutions to Nigeria’s current economic woes.
