PSG and France star Kylian Mbappe has caused a stir in the team’s dressing room with his recent comments about the club, as reported by RMC Sport.
According to the report, Mbappé gave an exclusive interview to France Football during the international break in June. This was before he had informed PSG that he would not be triggering his one-year contract extension.
In the interview, the talented PSG striker expressed his frustration with unfair criticism of his performances, suggesting that it’s harder to impress in Ligue 1. He also described PSG as a “divisive” club that has reached its limits in the Champions League.

As expected, Mbappé’s comments have not been well received by his teammates in the dressing room. RMC Sport states that six players have forwarded the interview to the club president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi. It is understood that two of these players are new signings Milan Škriniar, Manuel Ugarte, or Marco Asensio.
One of the messages sent to Al-Khelaifi reportedly described Mbappé’s words as insulting to the club.
Al-Khelaifi, the chairman of the Qatari club, has labeled Mbappé’s interview as a lack of respect towards everyone associated with PSG, including new signings, newly-appointed head coach Luis Enrique, and the entire fanbase.
Al-Khelaifi is even questioning why Mbappé would want to stay at the club if this is how he truly feels about PSG.
