Directed by Elizabeth Banks, this movie inspired by the true story of a drug runner’s plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, has Cocaine Bear finding an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging on a Georgia forest where a 230-kilogram apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for blow and blood.
3. Vengeance (2022)
This darkly comic mystery about Ben Manalowitz, a journalist and podcaster who travels from New York City to West Texas to investigate the death of a girl he was hooking up with, is the feature directorial debut of writer and star BJ Novak, a five-time Emmy-nominated writer and director on the US version of The Office, where he starred as Ryan Howard.
4. Shotgun Wedding (2022)
Directed by Jason Moore, Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel who star as Darcy and Tom, gather their families for the ultimate destination wedding on a private island in Shotgun Wedding. The bride and groom must save their loved ones when the entire wedding party is taken hostage.
5. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a meta-comedy about Nicolas Cage who is hired to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal, and Tiffany Haddish. It is regarded as one of the funniest movies of the year.
