Reactions continue to trail a viral video of Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of South Sudan urinating on himself during a public function on Tuesday.
It was learnt that the 71 years old President peed himself during the recitation of the national anthem at an event that was broadcast live on television.
The 34-second-long video was obtained by Quest Times on Twitter from a user with a caption reading, “African leaders with their greediness for power! “This is South Sudan President Kiir urinating on himself yesterday during the commissioning of a road.”
The politician from South Sudan realized right away that he had urinated on himself, and he turned to peek down his pants while his aides could be seen doing the same.
Salva Kiir Mayardit who has been the President of the country since its independence on 9 July 2011 is believed to be suffering from a urinary tract infection, which is common in older men.
The viral video has elicited mixed reactions from the international community, with many social media users expressing opposing viewpoints.
Many people have been shocked by the video and have criticized it because African leaders are notorious for continuing to serve in office despite being ill or getting older.
Some also accused the cameramen of doing a dirty job by disgracing their president, while others said they did the right thing by exposing the President as medically unfit to lead a country.
