This was made known by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on Wednesday after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Malami said the recovered assets, which were deployed to various sectors of the economy, particularly to alleviate poverty, had a significant impact on poverty levels and the nation’s economy.
He added that the Council has approved an Anti-corruption Strategy Document to strengthen the country’s anti-graft fight.
Malami expressed the federal government’s concern about recurring cases of budget padding, stating that any necessary measures would be investigated.
