Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, widely recognized as Burna Boy, has regrettably canceled his highly anticipated concert in South Africa.
The event, originally slated for September 23rd, was to take place at Johannesburg’s iconic FNB Stadium, as reported by Quest Times.
In an official statement, Burna Boy’s management disclosed that the cancellation resulted from the promoters’ inability to meet their contractual, production, financial, and technical commitments.
The statement read, “Regrettably, we must inform you that, despite our team’s diligent efforts, the Johannesburg show scheduled for September 23rd has been canceled due to the promoters’ inability to fulfill their contractual, production, financial, and technical obligations. It has become evident that the agreed-upon production standards required for a venue of this size cannot be met.”
Burna Boy extended his apologies to his devoted fans for any inconvenience caused, assuring them that all ticket purchases would be fully refunded. The statement concluded with, “Our deepest apologies to all fans; all ticketing companies will ensure full refunds. We look forward to reuniting with you soon.”
