French authorities have instructed Apple to stop selling the iPhone 12 because it emits too much electromagnetic radiation and to fix existing devices.
The French agency responsible for overseeing radio frequencies, known as ANFR, conducted tests that revealed the iPhone 12 emitted more electromagnetic waves that could be absorbed by the body than what’s allowed.
As a result, ANFR has ordered Apple to remove the iPhone 12 from the French market starting on September 12 due to its exceeding the permitted limit for electromagnetic absorption by the body.

Accredited labs found that the body absorbed 5.74 watts per kilogram of electromagnetic energy during tests simulating phone use, such as holding it in hand or keeping it in a pocket. The European standard allows a maximum absorption rate of 4.0 watts per kilogram in such tests.

ANFR stated on its website that Apple must take immediate corrective measures for phones already sold to bring them into compliance. Otherwise, Apple will have to recall these devices.
ANFR also noted that tests measuring electromagnetic radiation absorbed at a distance of five centimeters met the 2.0 watts per kilogram limit.
ANFR’s agents will start verifying on Wednesday whether iPhone 12 models are no longer available for sale in France.S

The World Health Organization, following numerous studies, has stated on its website that no adverse health effects have been definitively linked to mobile phone use.
