The Labour Party Governorship Candidate in Jigawa State, Comrade Abdullahi Tsoho, has withdrawn his candidacy and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Habibu Nuhu Kila, Special Adviser to Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru, revealed this in a brief statement made available to Channels Television on Friday.
He went on to say that the former Labour Party gubernatorial candidate promised that he and his throng of supporters would ensure APC’s victory in all elections.
While receiving Comrade Abdullahi in his office, Governor Badaru expressed his gratitude and promised that he and his supporters would be accorded the same rights as the party’s old members.
As of the time of filing this report, the Labour Party had not yet commented on this development.
The party’s leadership, including its presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate, were in Jos, Plateau State’s capital, today for the party’s presidential campaign.
According to the statement, Comrade Abdullahi has realized that the APC possesses all of the qualities necessary to champion the electorate’s hopes and dreams.
