The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rt Honorable Sheriff Oborevwori has been declared winner of the March 18th Governorship election in Delta State.
Sheriff won 21 out of the 25 local government areas collated in the state to defeat his closest rival, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Sheriff polled 360,234 votes, Omo-Agege polled 240,229, while the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate got 11,029 votes.

The result was declared at INEC Collation Center in Asaba, by the INEC State Returning Officer, Prof Georgewill Owunari, Vice Chancellor Rivers State University.
