Retired American mental health counsellor, Dr. Jeffrey Guterman, on Tuesday, said Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has blocked him from commenting on his Tweets.
Twitter had introduced the moderation tool in May 2020, to allow users control trolls, irrelevant, insulting, or disagreeable comments on their posts.
Checks by Quest Times revealed the APC presidential candidate blocked the American amidst “threats by his (Tinubu) supporters” as alleged by the latter in a tweet on Thursday.

“I have been subjected to multiple veiled threats from some supporters of Tinubu. These threats don’t scare me. These threats only embolden me to work harder for @PeterObi #PeterObiForPresident,” Dr. Guterman tweeted.
In another tweet, the US mental health counsellor who is a diehard supporter of Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate wrote;
“You can block, but you cannot hide, @OfficialABAT. #PeterObiForPresident”
Meanwhile, Nigerians, especially supporters of Peter Obi, aka ‘Obidients’, have taken to the internet space to express their opinions on the development.
Below are some of such comments:
@OnwuliJide: “You are a mental health counsellor, he needs you more than you need him. He’s your runaway patient.”
@JEnavosky: “The audacity, how will a criminal be blocking someone @elonmusk tear Tinubu account now.”
@Akachuk10891721: “Hahaha Tinubu is blocking people.”
@Mayor1976: “He (Tinubu) can never hide, I will send you his last address in Chicago, I want to know the name of people he visit when he was in Chicago, is there any way I have the numbers he contacted then? I need to more about this man, am writing a new book about him.”
@NonsoObidi: “Hahaha, they have to block all of us. Obedient all the way. PO is the next President of Nigeria.”
@JonEmmy21: “You really are getting to them hard (laughs).”
@NeduMedic: “He (Tinubu) thinks it’s by blocking. Oga you can’t run, we know your story.”
Quest Times understands Tinubu has been in the news for negative reasons in recent times, with the opposition putting pressure on INEC to disqualify him from contesting in the presidential race for reasons best known to them.
Tinubu will be jostling for presidential seat alongside his counterpart Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), among others, in 2023.
