Honourable Peter Ibrahim Gyendeng, who represents Barkin Ladi Riyom Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives, has expressed deep concern regarding the tragic loss of innocent lives in Plateau State due to unidentified assailants.
Gyendeng revealed that, on occasions preceding these violent attacks, compassionate people among the herding community have reached out to warn Plateau State residents about impending assaults.
He shared this information during an interview on Arise Television. However, Gyendeng pointed out a distressing trend where, in certain cases, the gunmen deviate from the locations mentioned by these benevolent informants and strike at different, vulnerable areas instead.

The lawmaker highlighted the challenges faced by the recently appointed head of security tasked with overseeing Plateau State. Within a span of just two months, the region has witnessed a staggering 20 attacks by these mysterious gunmen, leaving the local communities in a state of constant fear and anxiety.
