Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, a South African rapper, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road in Durban on Friday night.
According to sources, another person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard was also injured, and another unidentified person, believed to be a close friend of AKA, was also killed.
According to eyewitnesses, AKA was standing outside the Wish Restaurant when he was killed in a drive-by shooting. Just before 10 p.m., two unknown automobiles are said to have opened fire.
Prior to his death, AKA had posted series of videos on social media, showing him getting a haircut, and eating out with friends while displaying his live location in the videos.

@MissPearls Be Careful how you post your location online. Its a no brainer to post after you’ve left. Some things are better avoided. Too many evils in the world. You only got one life to live. Not AKA , This is so so sad. RIP AKA!

@adahfact South Africa love killing her very best. They killed Lucky Dube, one of the best from the continent of Africa, and today AKA is killed. South Africans take a long breath, unlearn yourselves and relearn again. Shameful. RIP AKA
