Golf legend, Tiger Woods has showered praises on Lionel Messi after Argentina’s victory over France at the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Woods revealed that Messi was the best player he had ever seen eclipsing the likes of Pele and Maradona.
Golf icon had termed Messi as the greatest player he had ever seen just before the final.
“He’s the greatest soccer player I’ve ever seen, I mean, you say Pele and Maradona but I just still think that what Messi does with the ball is stupid. It’s stuck to his foot. He makes the goalkeeper look bad with that left foot of his,” he said as quoted by Daily Mail.
Messi rose to the occasion to finally win the last trophy that was missing from his enviable collection.
Argentina beat France on post-match penalties after an entertaining three-all draw in normal and extra time.
Woods, 46, recently made his second appearance this year by competing at the PNC Championships.
