Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has shared insights into the recently concluded presidential election.
According to Wike, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured victory in only one state in the Southeast and South-South regions, which happened to be Rivers State. He added that the people of Rivers State have no regrets regarding this outcome.
Wike expressed his contentment with supporting and collaborating with President Bola Tinubu during the election, and he stressed that he owes no one an apology for his dedication to the president’s cause.

In th interview with Channels Television, Wike affirmed, “I’m here to support the president, who has shown confidence in my ability to help bring about renewed hope. I don’t owe anyone any apologies. I was in the PDP, and I worked for Tinubu to become president. In the South East and South South, President Tinubu won only one state, which is Rivers state. We have no regrets.”
He went on to refer to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his “boss,” underlining that he chose to work alongside him because the president had faith in his capacity to contribute to the revitalization of hope in the nation.
