Four Nigerian schoolgirls from Sasa Community High Senior School Egbeda, a government owned school in a suburb called Bammeke, Shasha in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, stood out from over 5,700 competitors to emerge finalists at the ongoing Technovation Girls Challenge 2021-2022.
Technovation girls challenge is a global competition where girls between the ages of 8-18 have the opportunity to address local problems through cutting-edge technologies like mobile apps and artificial intelligence.
The girls whose names are: Nwaefulu Tochukwu, Shittu Isiwat, Kegbeyale Rebecca and Effiong Comfort, came together as a team named Dynamic-TGirls.
Together, they built a mobile application called Dyna-Stats Tracker under the supervision of Miss Foli F.M. This mobile app helps track school dropouts.
Dynamic-TGirls emerged first of 5 finalists, making them the only Nigerian girls to make it to the final stage.
