The Super Falcons of Nigeria showed great class, quality, and dexterity to thrash Burundi 4-0 in their final group game of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Quest Times reports.
Goals by Rasheedat Ajibade, Peace Efih and an Uchenna Kanu brace did enough to help Nigeria advance to the next round after defeating Burundi.
Nigeria didn’t grab their first goal of the game until at the quarter of an hour when Ajibade outpaced a Burundian defender. She was felled by the onrushing goalkeeper and got a penalty in the process.

The Atletico Femeni star tucked in a beautiful penalty to open the flood gates.
Efih’s 28th-minute goal from a poor Burundi clearance and Kanu’s 29th-minute goal completed Nigeria’s rout in four minutes.
The result means Nigeria finishes second behind South Africa who beat Botswana 1-0, and will now face Cameroon in the quarter final for a place at next year’s Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
