Popular media personality and actress, Toke Makinwa, has expressed disappointment over the loss of singer and politician, Banky W, in the Eti-Osa Federal constituency seat to Thaddeus Attah of Labour Party (LP).
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Attah as the winner of the House of Representatives seat with a total of 24,075 votes, while Banky W of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gathered 18,666 votes, and Mr Babajide Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 16,901 votes.
Taking to Twitter to express her disappointment, Toke Makinwa described the news as painful and noted that Banky W deserved to win due to his hard work. She also alleged that Attah did not campaign during the election, yet won the seat.
In a tweet that has since been deleted, Toke Makinwa wrote, “The news of LP winning in Eti-Osa House of Representatives is so painful cos he didn’t campaign, we don’t even know him. Banky worked so hard, Banky deserved to win Eti-Osa.”
