Billions of users across the world are currently unable to receive or send messages on WhatsApp because the platform is down.
WhatsApp is the world’s most popular messaging app and its outages often lead to people talking about it on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere. That’s what currently going on.
At least people from almost every region of the world are reporting the outage which hit Nigeria, Africa around 7am, Tuesday, October 25.
More than 12,000 reports were posted within half an hour, according to the service status website, Down Detector.
There’s been no updates from Meta, the parent company, as of the time of this report.
