Police authorities in England have confirmed the death of a 33-year-old woman who lost her life after being crushed in a stampede outside the O2 Academy, Brixton, where rave of the moment, Asake was performing.
The tragic event took place on Thursday, December 15, 2022, in London.
Emergency teams were called to the O2 Academy in south London following reports that “a large number of people were attempting to force entry to the venue”, the Metropolitan Police said earlier.
Speaking on the tragedy in an Instagram post Asake expressed sadness and stated that he is in the process of reaching out to victims.

“My heart is with those who were injured last night and caused any form of discomfort. I pray you get well soonest. I am also in the process of reaching out to individuals.
“I still do not have the full brief from the venue, and management themselves as to what led to the disruption at the entrance of the Brixton Academy.
“But we were thankful all was peaceful at the end.”
