Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the presidential bid of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) has received a major boost, with the Olubadan of Ibadan, His Royal Highness, Oba Lekan Balogun, saying he is going to become president.
Osinbajo was in the state on Friday, April 22, to meet statutory delegates and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Before proceeding to the Kola Diasi Civic Centre, Ibadan, the vice president’s entourage made a visit to prominent traditional rulers, including the Olubadan of Ibadan, at his palace.
While receiving the vice president, the paramount ruler said he is sincerely praying for Osinbajo to become the next president of the country.

The outspoken traditional ruler said: “Very soon, hopefully, in God’s name, you will be president of Nigeria
“Like we watch ourselves, God watches us too. What we think about ourselves is what He thinks about us.
“Vice President Osinbajo, you are a wonderful human being. You’re a wonderful person. May Allah grant you access to what you desire. May Allah support you,” the monarch said.
