Gunmen have kidnapped the wife of the Commander, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)’s Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Deputy Commandant, Apollos Dandaura, in Nasarawa State.

It was learnt the incident that happened on Wednesday at about 8:30pm, around B. A road in Lafia.
The abductors were said to have carried AK-47 rifles, invaded the victim’s residence and started shooting sporadically to scare residents before they took her away.

The Commander’s younger brother, who is also a personnel of the NSCDC, was shot during the incident in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.
He is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lafia and is reportedly responding to treatment.
The Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, Mr Jerry Victor, who confirmed the incident, stated that the whereabouts of the victim was still unknown.
“The command had already deployed its personnel to the area in order to rescue the victim unhurt, adding that the kidnappers are yet to reach out to the command and the family of the victim,” he said.
