Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate, has demanded that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) remove the Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Olusegun Agbaje, for alleged partisanship and compromise.
On Wednesday, Atiku issued a statement in Abuja signed by his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu.
He found it odd that Agbaje insisted on employing the Lagos State Park and Garage Management Committee, which is run by transport tycoon Musiliu Akinsanya nicknamed MC Oluomo, a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
Shaibu dismissed Agbaje’s claim that INEC would be unable to use the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) because they were banned from operating in Lagos State.
