Donations to the family of late singer Mohbad have topped up as the head Prophet at Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry (CMDM), Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, offered a N10 million scholarship to Liam, son of the late singer.
Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, sent shockwaves through the Nigerian music industry and beyond as many fans and celebrities alike have since expressed their condolences and offered support to his family, especially his infant son, Liam.
Delegates from CMDM recently visited Liam’s mother, Omowunmi, at their Island residence to commiserate with her over the loss of her husband. They also presented her with a check of N10 million to be used towards Liam’s education.
The prophet’s generous act has attracted widespread praise from the online community, with many lauding him for his philanthropic spirit and compassion for Liam.
A statement released by the CMDM had the prophet saying that he was deeply saddened by Mohbad’s death and that his heart went out to his family during this difficult time, with the hope that the scholarship would help ensure that Liam has a bright future ahead of him.
“I am deeply saddened by the death of Mohbad,” the prophet said. “He was a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult time.
“I hope that this scholarship will help to ensure that Liam has a bright future ahead of him. I want him to know that he is not alone and that we are here to support him in any way that we can.”

It is worthy of note that the CMDM is a Christian ministry known for its philanthropic work. The prophet has established a number of schools and orphanages in Nigeria, and he has also donated generously to other charitable causes.
