Segun Sowunmi, a prominent member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has raised eyebrows by asserting that he could kill for former president, Muhammadu Buhari.
Quest Times reports that while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Sowunmi’s passionate sentiments continued as he shared his profound experience after meeting Buhari.
Describing the encounter, he expressed, “When I entered into his presence. This guy is so magical,” emphasizing the impact of Buhari’s words and the unique atmosphere.
He elaborated further, “Look at his impact on me. The kind of things he was saying, his environment, the minimalism, the ramrod straightness.”
The intensity of Sowunmi’s commitment became evident as he declared, “For the first time in my life, I could understand why somebody will say if they abuse the prophet, they killed him because I just saw this guy. If anybody dares abuse him beside me, I can stab the person to death.”
When questioned about his political stance, he clarified that he had always been in support of Buhari, stating, “I have always been. I was just not in his party. Don’t you listen? When he was the head of state, I was in secondary school.”
